01-230119 Polosak and Koch

Congratulations to Donovan Koch and David Shepard who have been appointed on-field for the Rebel WBBL|04 Final between the Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat at Drummoyne Oval, Sydney.

It’s been a busy summer for Queenslander Koch, who has been appointed to six Rebel WBBL|04 matches across Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns. This included the exciting Semi Final between the Sydney Thunder and Brisbane Heat last Saturday. Koch has also stood in two KFC BBL|08 fixtures and a further three games in the box.

Having been Third Umpire in the very first match of the season at CitiPower Centre, Victorian Shepard has also had a big white-ball season. He has officiated in seven women’s matches across Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane and Sydney. Announced the same day as his impending KFC BBL|08 on-field debut in mid-February, Shepard leads into this appointment having also been appointed to six KFC BBL|08 matches as Third Umpire.

Claire Polosak joins the Playing Control Team (PCT) from the Third Umpire box. Similar to her on-field counterparts, Polosak has split her time between Rebel WBBL|04 and KFC BBL|08 fixtures. Her seven Rebel WBBL|08 appointments have also taken her across the country, including Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide as well as her hometown of Sydney. In the men’s format; Polosak has been appointed to four matches in the box.

David Talalla will fulfill the Match Referee duties. For Talalla and the Umpires, this is their first appointment to an Australian domestic cricket final.
