Test Debut for Queensland Scorer
Queensland cricket scorer Tracey Moody will make her Men’s Test Match scoring debut in the First Vodafone Test Match between Australia and England starting at the Gabba in Brisbane today.
Moody has been scoring cricket for the best part of two decades and is the current First-Grade scorer for her club the Sandgate-Redcliffe Cricket Club in Queensland’s Premier Cricket competition. On the representative front, Moody has been an official scorer in Cricket Australia’s (CA) national competitions over the years dating back to 2014, officiating in Toyota Second XI, Weber WBBL, and the KFC BBL. Moody has also been official scorer in the Marsh One Day Cup and Sheffield Shield. Her First-Class achievements include running the scoresheets in last season’s Sheffield Shield Final between Queensland and New South Wales at Allan Border Field.
Moody has also recently run the scorecard on the International front being part of the match officials’ team across the last three Women’s Internationals series. Moody managed the scoresheets in the Commonwealth Bank Women’s Internationals between Australia and Sri Lanka in 2019, Australia and New Zealand in 2020, and most recently Australia and India earlier this season. This included her Women’s Test Match debut in the historic Day/Night Test at Metricon Stadium.
Moody today becomes just the 115th Australian Cricket Scorer to officiate a men’s Test Match. Moody will be joined in the scorers’ box by Ted Williams.
