Polosak and Bernard appointed to ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Semi-Finals

New South Wales Umpire and member of the Supplementary Umpire Panel, Claire Polosak, has been appointed to officiate at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Semi-Final between India and England at the SCG on Thursday 5 March.

Polosak will be standing with Ahsan Raza (Pakistan), with third umpire Gregory Braithwaite (West Indies) and fourth umpire, Langton Rusere (Zimbabwe) rounding out the Match Officials for the match. The four umpires will be supported by Australian Match Referee, and Sydney local, Steve Bernard.

The tournament will be the third Women’s T20 World Cup appearance for Polosak and her first time officiating at an ICC tournament held in Australia. She has stood in four preliminary round matches and has acted as third for another two. Her appointments have included West Indies v Thailand in Perth, West Indies v Pakistan in Canberra, and England v West Indies and Pakistan v Thailand in Sydney on Tuesday. 

The matches will see Claire’s career tally of Women’s T20 Internationals officiated move to 33 with an additional six as Third Umpire.

The Winners of the Semi-Finals will progress through to the Final which will be held on Sunday 8 March at the Melbourne Cricket Ground at 6:00pm local time.
