CA National Umpire Panel member Paul Wilson will travel to Sri Lanka as the hosts take on the West Indies in the upcoming One-Day International Series.

Wilson has 27 on-field men’s One-Day Internationals to his name, his most recent appointments as part of the ICC Cricket World Cup in the United Kingdom. There he stood in five matches and was appointed Third Umpire a further three times.

International 50-over cricket has taken Wilson around the world. After making his debut in Townsville in November 2014, Wilson has officiated in Zimbabwe, West Indies and New Zealand before being appointed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to the Cricket World Cup last June/July.

In September 2019, Wilson made his Test Match debut in the match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. More recently he was appointed to the New Zealand versus England Test Match at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

Wilson travels to the subcontinent following a successful KFC BBL|09 campaign, which included appointment to the rain affected Final at the SCG.

The three match Series starts on Saturday February 22 in Colombo before games in Hambantota and Kandy. Wilson will stand in two games on field and officiate in the box in Hambantota. Wilson stands alongside ICC Elite Panel Umpire, Marais Erasmus, whilst Javagal Srinath is the Match Referee.
