Hobson, Johnstone, Kovalevs and Treloar 2017 NOS Scholars
Congratulations to Anthony Hobson, Nathan Johnstone, Ashlee Kovalevs and Ben Treloar who have been awarded 2017 National Officiating Scholarships for cricket.
The Australian Sports Commission National Officiating Scholarships provide professional development opportunities in a range of areas and practical experience at a high performance level, together with mentoring and coaching to improve officiating skills. The program comprises of 3 workshops throughout the year and will be conducted on the Gold Coast and Canberra commencing 23 February. The program covers Nutrition, Psychology, Recovery, Vision and Media training along with several other components of High Performance Sport Officiating.
An important aspect of the scholarship is the role and impact of an individual’s mentor. Robert Faraday-Bensley (Hobson), Mathew Cheeseman (Johnstone), Claire Polosak (Kovalevs) and Bill Hendricks (Treloar) will join the group on the weekend and will support them throughout the scholarship.
A mid-season workshop will be held in June, and the program concludes in late November at the Australia Institute of Sport in Canberra.
