Queensland State Coach Development Seminar - Thanks Coach

30 August 2016

Over 50 coaches attend state seminar

Queensland Cricket hosted over fifty dedicated coaches in Sundays State Coach Development Seminar at the Bupa NCC and QLD Cricket. There was friendly interaction and networking and a common desire to learn and improve methods to support Queensland’s aspiring juniors.

Seminar QLD

Coaches from all over the state were put through several workshops and updated on the latest information and research. A range of topics were covered from philosophies, game day reviews, creating a learning environment, coaching female cricketers, fielding, wicket keeping, fast bowling workloads and skill development.

A special thanks to the Country Associations for their travel and accommodation support to enable their Directors of Coaching to attend. Also thanks to Cricket Australia, the Queensland Cricket coaching staff and NCC for supporting the day with excellent presentations from Phil Jaques, Darren Holder, Jonathon Connor, Andy Richards, Tim Coyle, Ashley Noffke and our Talent & Coach Development Officers.
