The application of mindfulness to sport performance has recently become a popular research endeavor. By enhancing current moment awareness, a critical component of peak sport performance, some research has suggested that mindfulness exercises can help to generate “flow”, or a state of complete focus on the task or event at hand. 

Smiling Mind is modern meditation for young people. It is a unique web and App-based program, designed to help bring balance to young lives. It is a not-for-profit initiative based on a process that provides a sense of clarity, calm and contentment.

The Smiling Mind Sport Program has been designed in partnership with Cricket Australia’s Sport Psychology Team to improve wellbeing and performance, both during training and when competing. It delivers strategies to avoid negative thinking, underperformance and exhaustion and at the same time, promote heightened concentration, awareness and efficacy. The program is accessible and usable by professionals and amateurs alike and is applicable within structured training routines or whilst kicking the footy in the park.
