Cricket Australia Coaching

Free Community Coaching courses for under-represented groups

25 August 2016

Australian Cricket is offering a limited number of fully subsidised Community Coaching courses to groups who are traditionally under-represented in the cricket coaching and umpiring ranks.

The aim is to assist individuals who are unlikely to have been exposed to or identified by cricket’s mainstream cricket/coaching pathways. People may qualify in a number of ways. For example preference may be given to people who are:

  • Female
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • From a non-English speaking background

The Community Coaching course will give people the confidence to provide a positive and engaging environment where young cricketers will have fun, develop skills, compete and have success.

To access the opportunity, people who meet the above criteria need to follow the below steps:

Step 1

Register with Cricket Coaches Australia. Visit the Coaches section for more information about the benefits of becoming a coach.

Step 2

Complete the Introduction to Cricket Course. It’s an online course and it’s free. Once you have completed the Introduction to Cricket course you can use a promo code.
