Recruit and Manage Volunteers
Volunteers are the lifeblood of cricket and there are many opportunities to volunteer in the sport. It is important for a club or association to understand the differing roles that a volunteer can hold.
A job description gives the volunteer a clear understanding of what is involved in their role. Volunteers need to know exactly what is required of them and in turn, the club or association needs to be aware of the tasks being carried out by its volunteers.
When developing a Volunteer Job Description:
- Use the templates below as a starting point
- Amend the template to make sure the description fits the role and all of their duties no matter how big or small are included
- Include the Club or Association Logo
- Consider the estimated time requirements for each role (so the volunteer can ensure they have enough free time to fulfill the role)
- Try and have a job description for each position.
- Review each Job Description annually after the AGM to ensure it still reflects the role
In addition, by clubs and associations should annually update office bearers on its MyCricket account. To update office bearers: login to MyCricket > set mode to organisation > click office bearers in the organisation tab > edit office bearers > apply changes.
